Who we are..
We are a group of girls with budding interest with kicking balls, performing volleys and flicks
& meddling with what is more known as Street Soccer or Futsal.

How we began..
Prior to a competition, initially we came together randomly to form a team. Despite that most of us barely knew each other, the team bonded almost instantly. The Skopet Ladies Team was born on 28th March 2008, and we give our credits to the Skopet Guys.

time: 4pm,25th july fri aftanoon (me n ika can only come down later,arnd 5-6pm..sap,sham n za will be there on time..so,anyone who can come on time, pls do...balls etc will be passed to e abovementioned 3 who can come early,fer ya ppl to kick arnd)

**pls try to b on time,as much as humanly possible...i cant even begin to stress e importance of punctuality so pls save me e agony n come on time kk**

Just a lil' Note

First and foremost I have to thank all of you for having that meeting and really sorry for holding you guys back after the game ( sampai lampu one by one tutop).I think it's our first serious meeting ..and err was quite serious.. I think we should hold more meetings like this to review the team. Trust me it's difficult for me to sit down and pour everything out like that but I guess it had to be done. I hope with all the suggestions/comments/opinions contributed during the 'meeting' and 'that talk'..we can make the best out of it. I believe we, as mature individuals will see all of this in a positive light.

As captain of the team , I do make some wrong judgements somewhere somehow and initially wasn't sure which direction to take.And I apologised. I guess we hardly get a chance to sit down like this and talk non-comp related stuffs and so maybe everything got bottled up. The whole restructuring stuffs was totally necessary and I've been wanting to talk about it but had no oppurtunity to do so. I'm so glad that the whole blurry situation regarding players have been resolved and now I feel I know which direction to take and I think the team is much more 'tidier' now.

Before I end this post
I would like to thank Sap for ermm..figuring out the whole miscommunication situation..
Naf for taking charge of meeting and printing worksheets.
Aishah for talking thru things with me after the talk
Za for the fantastic book keeping..I saw receipt and stuffs on that book..( You must have one of the toughest task to handle...we will try to figure a way to make your life easier...err soon)

and all of u for listening and putting in ur 2 cents worth (err some more than 2 cents some less)

With all that being said..let us celebrate our 4th month anniversary by not dwelling on the past mistakes but look forward to a newer, better and improved Skopet Ladies Team. And yes, we will start winning comps ...soooon.

Let's Run....

As you girls know, I think after August there will be comp drought till maybe next year. In order to have more team bonding, I hope we can choose from this list of events to participate. Furthermore, these events not only let us have fun but also help us keep fit..which I think is very important..

Like what we've discussed, the events are purely optional but it would be really great if everyone can join. I've already signed up for the Bay Run and Nike Run and most likely signing up for the NUS Run as well. You can choose to do all the events listed below. Trust me running can be fun. So try to come to a consensus by end of this week coz I think the closing date is very near.I did not include every detail. Feel free to check out the webbies.Have fun choosing!

OFF YOUR SEATS & INTO THE FIELD (OR COURT)!! =D

before i start,i realise tis blog is real inactive nowadays...tagboard oso very rarely got msges...cmon ladies,drop a little "holla" once in awhile pls!!

ok,so now,logistics speaking!!! --- u girls,pls bring all e jerseys u have in ur care to e nxt training!!numbers n logos r fallin down n its really embarassin to wear em to comps...so it needs to be reprinted!!GET E JERSEYS DOWN!!N IT ALL HAS TO BE ACCOUNTED FER!!NO MISSIN JERSEYS IS TO BE TOLERATED!! do i sound annoyin enuf??hahaha..

so! bout e nxt trainin...it'll b on tis comin fri..n usually,our fri trainings r held at nyp...but no longer..lemme attempt to b practical n list e reasons as to y trainings on fri at nyp is not a gd idea:

1)everytime we go there,we end up practisin on e basketball court coz e hockey pitch everytime got match (or so they say -.-)...which aint exactly a special place;like anywhere oso got basketball court rite?
2)its far fer many ppl...quite a no. of ppl been sayin its not a gd idea to travel so far only to end up on a baskbetball court which will be super dark at 9.30..
3)lotsa ppl really hate e way e lights will juz die out at 9.30..i hate it too!!!like,in e middle of a really shiok game,suddenly POOM! lights out!!annoyin crap! gggrrr...
4)because of our team's sickness of everytime being late (everyone is guilty of it!! yes,u!! n u!! n uuuuuuuuu!!hahah...annoyin sehh me :D),we everytime only get arnd 1 n half hr to 2hrs worth of proper trainin...which aint proper at all!!! we need more den tat,duncha tink??n im sure everyone wont b really puas wif sucha short training...

however,nyp is nearer fer some ppl (aka sap)...so! naf n fad has come up wif a real ingenious idea of how to solve e prob of expensive cab-travellin fer sap...which is,to start a save-sap fund!!! everyone is expected to chip in a few bucks (bout 1 buck or so) so tat we can help her out...now,tis hasnt implemented but hopefully it works great!! more info will be given by our treasurer...

SO! trainings at nyp on fri is hereby declare OUT!! hehehe..BUT! trainings at nyp on sat is a pretty gd idea duncha tink???coz on sat theres no irritatin hockey "matches" n we can have e pitch to ourselves..n plus,if we can meet up in e early aftanoon,we can have a real proper training fer hrs till its dark...food fer thought yeahh??

anyways,back to fri trainin!! it will b somewhere in bukit panjang area...or choa chu kang,dependin on where fad can hopefully try to find a place..therefore,im real sorry to announce tat e place is still in check..i will sms everyone e confirmed place once im able to..bout e timing...me n ika can come earlier...like mayb 4 plus 5???so anyone who can make it earlier is hereby invited to join us first...others who can only come later,no biggie...ok so! e only thing left to be confirmed is e place......

another thing!! coach rizman has rightfully advised us to train up our physicals..i fer one tink i need it coz my stamina aint gd!! so,mayb,we can do some runnin arnd before trainin proper by ourselves???i tink we can handle juz runnin wifout e coaches rite??so at least e coaches dun have to come early only to make us run...cam kesian,they mayb tired etc so we shld juz have em focus on makin betta our skills n we can train up stamina by ourselves....so yeahh... PLS COME AS EARLY AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE YEAHH??

so tis is it...e upcomin trainings on tis sat n sun will be handled by za n ika respectively so i leave it up to em bout e place,time etc..

Three for the two Fours!

Okai, mebe it's abit late posting about the 5th July Captain's Ball match, but here goes..

Things went smoothly in the morning..We reached there in tym..Settled at a spot with the guys, who are also there for their Futsal games..We registered, changed up & warmed up..Soon it was tym for our 1st Captain's Ball game..

There were 6 ladies team competing in the Captain's Ball match..We had about two rounds with each team..Somewhere during the beginning, we had a guest player to play with us, Mush..We didn't fare so badly..We won some, we lost some..There were some great games, fair games, and one despicably unfair game..

The guys were doing their fair share of wins and loss..Some great shots, some great blocks, and great teamwork..

Soon after us ladies' last game (where we trashed the opponents..*yessah!* nyahahx), everyone gathered at the spot where we had our stuffs..Yeah, most of the stuffs were still pretty wet cuz of the downpour somewhere in the middle of the games..

The guys had already known their verdict, they won third in their Futsal..One of the lady organisers approached us and revealed us ladies' verdict on our Captain's Ball match..We got third! The moment she said that, we ladies were jumping with joy and whooping our hearts out as if we won Champion..Lolx..Oh well, it is our 1st win afterall, even though it was only for Captain's Ball..


After we'd known we got third, we couldn't help it..We just had to take a picture.. ;)

We proceeded with the prize presentation award..*Yadda yadda, skips the boring parts* They presented the ladies category, Captain's Ball, from 4th to 1st..

Yeahhh..Sweet sweet victory ey.. ;)

We went back to our spot..And had a little kenduri..Hehex, we got some free makan..*whoots*

After taking our own sweet tym eating, cleaning up & etc, we finally proceeded to the beach..Much contemplation later, we started on palang tiga, the ladies vs the guys..Oh well, no need to say much who are the ultimate champions of palang tiga.. ;) Hehex..Ending the palang tiga, we decided to get some beach soccer done..Split ourselves into two teams and got the soccer going..It was 5 draw..By then I guess most are already itchy to get into the sea..Well, I was..Ahx..Then without much delays, we got ourselves playing with the waves..Just splashed around in the water & chilled out with the waves..

Soon it was tym we got out of the water, and went to rinse up..It got dark when everyone was done..We decided to get our dinner at Komala's..Had our dinner & played that hand game and the Heaven & Earth thing..*whoot, the gereks ;)* It was then tym for everyone to say their goodbyes & we went off..

Yeah, it was a dang fun heck of a day, & it's all worth the swollen fingers, muscle aches, painful feets & the spotty rashes..

Challenge Shield updates

First of all, my apologies for not being able to join u guys for training lately..

Anyway, the organisers for 2moro's comp just call me up just now..Here's some things to take note of:

Meeting time
As Sham said 6.45am..but I will meet all of u at Bedok Interchange Bus Berth 196 at 7.30am

Indemnity Form ( signed)
Transaction Receipt ( sham u have it?)

Attire
Our blue jerseys? I can bring em down 2moro..Cuma some missing ones coz some MDIS nye participants lom kasi balek..I think we just make do with what we have lah. Ouh just wear normal track shoes ..no need shin guards etc..

Food/Drinks
It's not provided..But they're setting up stalls there.So bring some $$ to feed urself..

Others
There's only 6 teams. So we will play with all 5 teams TWICE in the qualifying round. It's 10 mins per game.
The person from another race must play for at least 1 game.

Captain's Ball

K all..Here's an update for Saturday 5th July..

Registration form sent in already, and payment already been made to organisers..So it'll be $10 per person..Can transfer 010-35951-1 and sms me once your done, or pass me the ten bucks in person on Saturday..K aku plak jadi tailong..Muahahhax..

We have to reach Sports Planet at 8.30am since registration will be starting at 8.45am..Generally, most of us will be from the west side, so our TENTATIVE meeting time would be about 6.45am. Yes, it's very early, but this is including the unforeseen delays as well..The plan would be for everyone to go there together, as it's confirmed that those playing would be going there by public..Meeting place will be confirmed for west siders..As for those staying in the east side, we'll meet up with you at Bedok Interchange..PS: Ju, pls contact me when you can,k..I myt not be online that frequently..

Yep, next would be jerseys..We myt, or myt not have them..In case we don't, just prepare with a light blue or navy blue or whatever that looks blue enough so that we have at least matching colours, slua and shoes..Bring your own toiletries, and yeah..An extra set of clothing if you choose..Cuz the sun, sea and sand is just nearby, so we myt just drop by and have some fun there ;) .. PS: Whoever got tikas or beach balls or what ever are welcomed to bring them..
