I'm back after a 4 days 3 nites sch camp... dead tired!

Before I get to what I want to say, firstly, I want to extend my warm welcome to our new members. Secondly, ingin kuucapkan ribuan terima kasih kepada Aisha & Zalikha for helping & settling the jersey issues. Good job ladies! Lastly, to Sham, i loike our brand new look for the blog. ;-D

Ok ok.. back to bisnes, my post this time is really about MONEY.
Memandangkan kita semua akan jumpa esok as a whole team (Insya-Allah), ada beberapa perkara yang perlu dibayar. So every1 need to bring the money.

Here's the list:

1) SKP Ladies' fund -$10 (for now. kita semua kena bincang nak kumpul duit fund ini, berapa banyak kali setahun.)

2) Skopet Annual BBQ- $10 (kita contribute sikit to the guys are for the bbq. Tak kan duduk makan je kan, abeh tak bayar

pape. Tak patut, tak patut. hehe..)

3) Jersey- $?? -> refer to Aisha's entry regarding the jersey. (basically, $13 (jersey) + $ for your number. Kita print number je dulu. Nama & logo later. U can get back to Aisha or Zalikha kalau in doubts.)

* In total: ~abt $35/36 (per person)

So, Zawani, our very own chettay oopss... treasurer i mean... kidding sis, will be collecting the money. Aisha & Zalikha, do assist Za for the jerseys' payment. Za, bawa a buku account ok. this is to help you in tracking our payments, claims & etc. Those who need to make claims, pls retain receipts / documents of ur expenses. (We must learn from the guys' team punya mistakes. Jadi, tak jadi mcm dorang... hehe... sorry guys, I mean no harm...).

anyway, as everyone has agreed, we are going to NYP!!! how to go---pedestrians, yio chu kang mrt, beside grassroots club....walking distance, very fast. motorist---i check for you the gate timing and get back to you....hope i remember before i step out of school later.

Timing will be usual---at 3pm but for those yang can't make it at this time, no sweat. just come as soon as u can coz the more players the merrier kan? Hehehe. we'll be playing till around....7pm? coz sum haveta go around that time. but if the rest nak continue, why not rite?

For the new skopet ladies....welcome!!! i haven't see you before but i wanna see ya!!! Im very very sorry, i couldn't ask for your opinion coz no number and all, macamana nak contact kan? so if u can make it, do come down so we can sama2 main bola and get to noe each other. or are you going for the comp at SAFRA tamp? if so then, JIA YOU!!! SKOPET POWER!!! sorri, lame cheer but the idea is there. So far, CAp JU, Medic SAp and Vice-Cap NAf yang da jumpa kan? so i realli apologize if i never ask you opinions.....

Yang da sampai nanti besok, call me k. mana tau, aleh2 kena tap card to enter school la...just in case. Me and za will be at NYP to styudy from around 10am. Blaja oi.....da nak exam!!! Doakan we all score in our papers k. Thank you.

New Skin~!

Heya Ladies~!

Yep, finally I got the skin changed..Ahx, been ages since I've done any blog editing, so sorry klu tak lawa sgt or something..And dier nye html codes tu sumer aku tak pro sgt so it's an ala kadar template or skin I got up..Took me hours and days and headaches to get it done and righted..So anything wrong that you can't see or what I'd appreciate the constructive comments..

And yes Aisyah, the colour we choose during our first match was indeed blue and white..Thus the colour theme I choose for our blog..Yep, any comments and improvements please contribute in..I will try to change and adjust to what be needed..

Ladies, I'd appreciate that the settings and what nots of the blog stay as it is, for I am responsible for any changes in the blog settings..You guys just sit back, relax, and post to your heart's content ya..Any comments or ideas are welcomed, just beep me on my mobile and I'll get it done soonest I can ya..And if it needs be, I will ask one of you my lovely team mates to change the settings on my behalf..This is to avoid any discrepancies and any mis-whatevers in the future ya..

Related to the above paragraph, I'd like to bring out the contributor thingie..Please accept the email invitation I have sent to all your emails and follow the instructions there..This is so that when you post, it will show your name as the author instead of "SKP Ladies" as what it is showing now..If you have any questions regarding this, please beep me or Ju to clarify..

By the way, just my opinion..The fastest and best mode of communication yet so far is still by the mobile..The net access might not be so accessible for some..

last nite, we logistics (me & zal) plus fadly met up wif e supplier fer e jerseys & thus far it has been decided (YEAYY!!) & shld b ready in time fer diva la futbol (or futsal???anyways...) & e cage competitions...finallyyyy...we are established!!!!hahaha..

first up, i hope ya guys are okey wif e decision we made...trust our taste eh??hehehhe...pleaseeee.. :D btw,so sad, there aint any long-sleeved jerseys..sorry yeah babes

ok so our jerseys colour initially was supposed to b red..but...........e red is UGLY!!!!i labelled it as very 'sec sch jerseys' kinda red..& all other colors r out..who wanna wear black rite??we'll b roasted in no time!! soooo,afta a e real tough struggle & much flippin of e catalogue,we decided to go fer blue (which is e nicest colour there is!!)...e blue very rare arhh...a very nice shade of blue..fadly was fine wif it..they have their own blue jerseys oredi (which was THEIR first jerseys i tink---so coincidental horr,both teams first jerseys are blue in colour) so they will get another colour...but as long as we're colour-coordinated its fine...hehhh...anyways remember our first ever match?????e colours we picked den was white & blue remember??heheh..blue!!!

anywhos,e jerseys are dri-fit, mostly blue, wif sidelinings of dark,navy blue...e number printings will be dark,navy blue as well..e collar...ahhhh....e collar arhh,we chose tis style called "mandarin collar"..basically its totally V-necked, but it has a zipper..so when ya zip it up,it kinda became round-necked & if zipped down, its V-necked...e best of both worlds...hehehe

so pick a number gals,fer ur jerseys!!i have got most of em but still got 3 'number-less' jerseys..shame of u!!haha,kiddin.. anywhos,bout e logo of skopet,tat one is e guys' problem..haha!!!we juz ikut wadeva logo they put up, those pioneers can decide (we trust ya fadly & gang!!)..btw e supplier very nice lehh...to get ready fer e competitions, he said its possible to get e jerseys first wif e no.s imprinted..den when after e competition,we can send em back to him to get our logo printed on,at no extra cost!!! niceeeee...


wat elsee.....ohhh!! e cost...hehh, e tough part!! ok e shirt cost $13...but extra cost is incurred fer e no.s printing..single-digit no.s cost $2 while double-digit no.s cost $3..

Updates again

Yesterday's training was a blast!!!! ( haha...aku exaggerate sikit)...walaupun, cuma 3 darah skopet yg tulen turon..Yg lain2 Naf mintak MC atau parent's letter..Hahaha..Main2 je ahh.. Anyway, when I book the court yesterday, it seems Sunday is a relatively quiet day at the CC and there's higher chances we can get the booking...Just asking for opinions and suggestions regarding when and where we shud play for coming trainings..

Hmm..yesterday, Naf and Sap as well as Fad got to meet 2 of the new Skopet recruits. One is the tall and lanky Nadia who will be our resident striker and Dianah whom Fad dah assigned as team kite nye penalty taker ..Most likely the new keeper would be Nurul and I'm sure she's the most apt person to do the job since she used to be a hockey keeper for school (I hope she agrees to be our keeper coz she's a gd striker too) Tetapi nampaknye team kiter ni dah 'overload' ngan strikers so kalau semua main striker, sape nak gi main position lain???...And another confirmed player joining us would be Zahidah ( another fellow Bedok-ian)..Been playing with her in numerous comps and deemed to be a terrific striker (!!!) as well as an effective midfielder and defender..even keeper.....Guess..we shall all meet each other pretty soon..

Anyways, jersey is on the way..Thanks to Naf and Ika for making it happen.. I'll try to join in the jersey discussion session 2moro if I can..We'll assure u we try to choose a decent color...Just get ready the cash and the team tai long will come knocking on ur door soon..Very soon...

WAH SO MANY COMPS!

Hello people sekalian yang hadir di depan computer. Salam.

First and foremost, WAH great enthusiasm displayed in and outside the blog. Who knows, maybe with this kind of passion, we can go far. Read: Go Slangor and win RM8000? Haha..kiddin, dun stress.

Anyways, as the chettiar/tailong of the team, should i come up with a DBS savings account where people can easily just transfer their money from any parts of Spore, since we are always busy busy belaka. Or if you guys prefer the manual collection of cash, im also fine.

Let me know which one you guys want k.

Oh ya. About the zhenghua CC court rite, usually most people will book around 4, so if we are using the zhenghua court, i will still try to book at 3pm, being the kiasu person that i m, so that we get the court FIRST. So, if guys want to have trainings at 430pm, those who want to kick some balls b4 trainings can come at 3 onwards ya?

Come on people, the more the merrier lahh..Rather than sitting at home, munching on Krepek in front of your TV and feeling fat and miserable, why dun u head down to the court and release some feel good Endorphins by kicking em balls.. As usual text me at least 2 days ahead if u coming, aku dah penat ah..tanye2.

*** Jersey:
Talked to my friend already. Jerseys goinna cost bout 15 bux ( ok ah reasonable)..I'm goinna work with the guy's side regarding this..coz cheaper mahhh if u buy in bulk.Once, it's finalised,I 'll tell you girls bout it..I hope I can get it done by Diva La Futbol comp. So eat instant noodles this month if u have to ..coz most probs we'll be collecting money by early June.

*** Cage Comp:
While playing soccer at Bedok just now, some dude was distributing the Cage Comp brochure. The comp will be held on the 15th June 2008 ( Sunday). Yes. It's a day after Diva La Futbol...It's really up to you..You can join Cage or DLF. or Both or None. The choice is urs.
Important***= To make admin process a breeze, please reply to Me or Inn by 4th June 08 with regards to this Cage Comp. The earlier the replies the better but please check ur calendar first before you say 'YES'.

Diva La Futbol..Faster Register ..

Diva La Futbol is here Ladies!!!...If this comp sounds alien to u, allow me to enlighten u on this..

Of all the comps I've joined, DLF is one of those events I look forward to every year. It is like the ultimate women soccer comp lah..It's well organised and there's lotsa teams participating. Last year, I think there were 50 plus teams. So, it's really good exposure. Plus, they have nice comp T-shirts..heh.

Anyway, here's the details:-

Comp date: 14th June 2008 ( Saturday)
Time: 9am to 7pm
Location: Fico Sports Hub (Boon lay there)

***Important*** the Registration dates are 17th May, 22nd May and 31st May. Since we missed the 17th May, I hope we can register by 22nd May...Yes it's THIS WEEK. I'm not being kiasu,..I just hope we can secure our places coz I know how it feels like not getting a place in a comp.It sux Big time..Very2 Depressing u know.

To my secretary and treasurer..GET BUSY ..Hahaha..We're in MAD RUSH this May and June. If you think the adminstrative part is too much...I'm more than happy to help k..Since, I'm like "selling grapes" rite now.

You need boots and shin guards (plus knee length socks) for this comp. U've got time to save up and invest on soccer boots. I dun know what to recommend coz I'm no boot expert. I use Nike's coz their boy's size fits me well.Plus they're cheaper then the men's boots.It pays to have small feet. hehe......If you dun intend to buy, dun fret. I have ppl who can loan you boots but I cannot guarantee the sizes..And, we need to get the jerseys sooner than I expected. Warhh..

If you wanna play for this comp, pls tell Inn by this Wednesday, 21st May 2008. So, go check ur calendars NOW for work rosters, school assignments, project meetings,dates with boyfriend, girlfriends, mother, brother etc etc

Training, Players et cetera

Blog: Yay !!We've got blog already!! Well done Sham ( Cepat jugak eh siap.kau ni betol nye IT expert )..And Inn ( AKA super secretary) thanks for kick starting it with that long entry. Overall, it's a gd start and I look forward to embellish this webbie with more stuffs like pics, tagboard etc..And oh..all ur entries..Tolong eh contribute..tak mo semangat 2 menit k...Ouh by the way, u guys can add me up on MSN so that we can discuss further on ermm...ape2 yang patot di-discusskan..The boys agreed to help us out with the blog..So if u need help with it, do tell em..If u too shy, do tell me so I can tell em..

Trainings: The 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month seems fine. However, there's one issue..Judging from the last training, I think u shud have an idea what it's like to be fried, rite? And, I'm not keen having to squint my eyes every 2 minutes coz matahari terik beb. I think we shud train after 4.30pm coz anything before that BURNS (arggghhhh...). Cuma satu problem..the Zhenghua Court is book every Sat from 6-8pm...and No, I dun wanna merempat again like that Saturday..So we've got to come out with a solution.. Here's some option u might wanna think about..and lemme know:-

1) We train after 8pm? = Highly unlikely..Coz nanti I have no last bus to go home.lol.

2) We train in the morning?= I dun think most can. Must watch sat morning cartoon.

3) We change day to Sunday?= Ahhh..Trust me, u dun wanna go work on Monday with aching
muscles everywhere..But, if u dun mind, Sunday is ok too..

4) We change location?= I've tried scouting for other places and
shortlisted CCK stadium court (not that I went thru lotsa
options.Maklumlah, org Bedok..part2 area sini lom expert).
Must book and it costs 15 bux an hour but we can have the place for
ourselves.
If we can get 15 players and book for 2 hours it'll be $2 per head
Tetapi, soalannye skarang bagaimana kiter mendapat 15 org yang
guarantee turon nye???
We can use Zhenghua pri field ( open till 7pm je) or field2 lain?
Anyone have any ideas with regards to location pls tell me k.


Players: I managed to recruit new players yesterday via SMS and they've agreed to come down for trainings. They aren't really new. I used to play soccer with most of them b4. I think some of em shud look familiar to you. I am sure amongst them, I do have a keeper material kinda player..We'll sort out this keeper thingy soon. I hope u guys won't be too "overwhelmed" by these new recruits. I'm sure we can all work together and menaikkan nama team ni . The more the merrier mahhh..Plus..from now on we have enuf ppl to play proper soccer games..So it wun be 3 by 3 kinda game.

Comps: I'll be joining this 31st May 2008 SAFRA comp. My new recruits are joining me and together we call ourselves the 'Skopet Technicolors'. Technically, it is a Skopet team...coz half of them are my new pool of recruits. U'll meet them soon. If u wanna come down and bring pom-poms, it's at SAFRA Tamp ( urghhhhh) and it starts at 7.30 am.. Tapi confirm hegeh2..I think start at 8 plus ..Planning to play soccer after that ..coz it's the 4th Sat of the month..To be confirmed soon though.

Surat MC kena kasi or Sap aka power player will rembat u with her new shoes. Keke, main je. Anyway, so we've voted that these people will hold the following posts:

Anybody I left out? Any post i gave out wrong? I hope not. I am only human. One more thing, please contribute a ten dollar bill to the skopet ladies team fund as we would like to purchase a few necessities for the benefit of the team, them being:

c) first aid kit
d)jersey
Item D will be sourced out by our super captain who has some contacts about jersey stuff so its currently pending. Our equally amazing vic-cap will be getting the ball and our player-of-the-court cum medic will be getting us the first-aid kit.
Things to take note:
We need a goalie. Preferably someone with fair ball handling skills, easy disposition, tak takut kena rembat and fast reflexes. Previous netball players are welcome. Any candidate you noe dat fits the description, please send a resume with photo attached...tak la, main je. Ajak her turun so we can have fun together.
14th June 2008: Diva La Football. Check it out, it may be good exposure for us ladies.
And we're planning to have ball-kicking sessions every 2nd and 4th weekend of each month so do come down and have fun while we brush up on our skills. Let's maju together as a team!! For that, i have to work harder, insya'allah. And if u wan our 'coach' to come down, do tell cuz he might have soccer too with the skopet guys team.
Tomorrow...there's gonna be a kick-around. For those who can make it, do contact our power captain on the venue and what nots.

Before i end, i'd just like to say that it was GREAT playing with our new-found friends during the prev game and i think everyone echoes my sentiments. They were superb yet are also friendly, humble, and sweet...especially at the part when they suggested a mixed team instead of us vs them. Wa salute beb!

Hell yeah, SKoPet Ladies..Our very own blog..Whoot~!

Introducing us..A bunch of girls, both experienced and not, who came together impromtuouesly for our interest & love of kicking the balls for a match and we (some) discovered the joys of scoring the goals..Oh yeah..Actually it's called soccer..Or rather, we get ourselves into the 'smaller' version of soccer, the street soccer..As a very young team, we've got much to learn & improve..Yeah, and for now, we just enjoy running around and kicking some balls.. ;P
